Children benefit greatly from doing some reading over school holidays. To encourage children to read our school runs a Holiday Reading Program where children can go into the draw for a book voucher as follows:
Children who read 5 books will receive one ticket into a draw for a book voucher.Children who read 10 books will receive two tickets into a draw for a book voucher.
Children who read 5 books or more will receive an icy-cup on the first day of school to recognise their efforts with reading.
In the case where a student reads a book with more than 100 pages – each 100 pages will count as 1 book.
Books read are recorded on the
Holiday Reading Card and handed in when school returns and it drawn on parade in the first week.
