Prep Enrolment Age
To be eligible to enrol for prep, children should have turned 5 by 30 June of their prep year as per the dates below:
1 July 2015 - 30 June 2016 - Eligible for Prep in 2021
1 July 2016 - 30 June 2017 - Eligible for Prep in 2022
1 July 2017 - 30 June 2018 - Eligible for Prep in 2023
1 July 2018 - 30 June 2019 - Eligible for Prep in 2024

Applications can be made for early entry into prep whereby children turn 5 years by 31 July in the year of their proposed attendance.
Education Queensland has online information on Early and Delayed Entry into Prep including Parent Information sheets. The Application for Early Entry into Prep Form is to be submitted to the principal for consideration and can be collected from the office by request from the office.
Birth Certificate - A birth certificate is required to be sighted for an enrolment application to be accepted for prep.
