Behaviour management

Our school supports responsible student behaviour in a positive and supportive manner.  Our School Wide Positive Behaviour for Learning School Brochure, (PDF, 1342 KB) provides information on how we support great behaviour.  The Education Queensland Code of Behaviour is a fundamentally important document to outlining responsibilities of all stakeholders to maximise learning outcomes for students.

At Townsville South State School, the code of behaviour for all participants (students, staff and community) focuses on the following three statements overall supporting students to Be a Learner:

  • Be Safe
  • Be Responsible
  • Be Respectful

The school’s Responsible Behaviour Plan for Students was developed in consultation with the community and aligns with the Education Queensland ‘Code of Conduct’.  The school’s Responsible Behaviour Plan also reflects appropriate consequences for the behavioural choices made by children.

Draft 2019-2021 Responsible Behaviour Plan - We will be seeking school community feedback soon.
